A agência Reuters divulgou agora há pouco que um avião israelita abateu nesta quinta-feira (16) um objeto voador não identificado suspeito que sobrevoava a central nuclear na cidade de Dimona, segundo informe da segurança.
As autoridades do país investigam o incidente. Um alerta emitido na seqüência do avistamento do objeto levou à suspensão de todos os vôos civis na região sul do país. Possivelmente algum tipo de balão, “definitivamente sobrevoou Dimona. Nós ainda estamos tentando determinar a quem estava subordinado e agora o Exército está cuidando do assunto”, informou um porta-voz.
A Força Aérea acabou derrubando o artefato, aparentemente não tripulado, que tinha entrado em zona de exclusão aérea. Não há até ao momento informação sobre a origem do aparelho, que segundo a imprensa local teria algum grau de sofisticação.
Maiores detalhes serão divulgados em breve.
